About Sabertooth

Sabertooth is a hovering underwater vehicle capable of operating autonomously as an AUV or through supervised ROV-style control. Its vectored thrusters provide six-degree-of-freedom movement and station keeping around subsea structures, pipelines and production equipment.

The vehicle carries sonar, cameras, manipulators and inspection tools and can remain resident at a subsea docking station. Docking supports charging, data transfer and repeated shore-controlled missions. Saab supplies Sabertooth for inspection, maintenance, repair, environmental monitoring and defence tasks at substantial operating depths.
