About VL53L8CX ToF Sensor

VL53L8CX produces distance measurements across an eight-by-eight grid using direct time-of-flight sensing. The compact module measures several targets within each zone and provides depth, signal strength, ambient-light and status information at update rates reaching 60 hertz.

The sensor uses a 940-nanometre emitter and SPAD receiver array within an integrated optical package. I²C communication and low power consumption support robots, appliances, occupancy systems and embedded devices. ST provides drivers, evaluation boards and processing examples for application development.
