About SOMANET Circulo
SOMANET Circulo combines a servo drive, position-feedback options, mechanical mounting structure and optional holding brake in a circular module that fits around a robot-joint motor. Its hollow centre provides routing space for cables and services through the axis, while decentralised control places current, velocity and position loops close to the motor.
EtherCAT communications connect multiple modules to the machine controller, and available safe-motion functions support safety-rated joint behaviour. The spring-applied integrated brake locks the axis during power loss. Robot and actuator manufacturers use Circulo to reduce separate electronics, wiring and mechanical components inside cobots, mobile robots and compact industrial axes.
