About CUE7

CUE7 is Toyota’s latest basketball-playing robot and continues a research programme focused on machine perception, motion planning and precise whole-body control. Cameras estimate the basket and ball position, while the robot calculates shot trajectory and coordinates its articulated body to reproduce a repeatable throwing motion.

Earlier CUE generations demonstrated autonomous shooting and set Guinness World Records for consecutive free throws and long-range shots.
