About UR30
UR30 is a six-axis collaborative robot arm for compact, high-payload automation cells. It has a standard 30 kg payload through a 1,300 mm reach, with a 35 kg mode available under the centre-of-gravity and orientation conditions specified by Universal Robots. The arm weighs 63.5 kg, uses a 245 mm mounting footprint and is rated IP65, allowing high-load handling without the longer working envelope of the UR20.
Applications include machine tending with multiple grippers, palletising, screwdriving and material handling. PolyScope supplies touchscreen programming, force sensing and safety configuration, while industrial Ethernet and ROS interfaces support cell and software integration. The UR30 remains a current commercial member of the UR Series and is supported by Universal Robots' UR+ tooling and application ecosystem.
