About VisionPro

VisionPro is a Windows-based development environment for building machine-vision applications around Cognex and supported third-party cameras. QuickBuild lets engineers assemble image-acquisition steps, vision tools, decision logic and I/O as graphical jobs, while the .NET libraries expose the same components through C#, VB.NET or managed C++ for custom applications. The toolset includes pattern matching, blob analysis, calipers, line finding, filtering, OCR and 3D processing.

A typical deployment begins by configuring the camera and trigger, adding inspection or localisation tools, defining pass/fail logic and connecting results to a PLC, robot or plant application. Jobs can run interactively during commissioning and automatically when production images arrive. This makes VisionPro suitable for high-speed inspection, metrology, identification and robot guidance where a packaged smart camera is too restrictive. Current releases support 64-bit Windows and modern .NET environments, with licensing and runtime components used to deploy the finished application on industrial PCs.
