About BlueBird Aero Systems
BlueBird’s aircraft range spans hand- and rail-launched fixed-wing systems through hybrid-VTOL tactical UAVs. SpyLite provides portable real-time electro-optical and thermal intelligence, while WanderB-VTOL and ThunderB-VTOL combine vertical launch with fixed-wing endurance. The company also supplies ground stations, datalinks and payload integration for complete field systems.
Two-person crews can deploy selected systems from unprepared areas and receive georeferenced imagery, mapping and target information through BlueBird’s common control environment. Applications include border monitoring, artillery support, maritime surveillance, search and rescue and infrastructure protection. Israel Aerospace Industries acquired 50% of BlueBird in 2020, creating a strategic ownership and integration relationship while BlueBird retained its product and operating identity.
