About Dextrous Robotics

Dextrous Robotics developed DX-1, a truck-unloading system with two high-speed arms mounted on a movable frame. Vision software identified cartons across an unstructured trailer load, planned collision-free grasps and coordinated both arms to transfer boxes onto a conveyor. The architecture was intended to maintain throughput as carton size, orientation and stack condition changed during unloading.

The company demonstrated the system with logistics operators and was preparing two larger customer deployments when it became insolvent. Operations ended before DX-1 developed into a continuing commercial fleet. Dextrous Robotics is a historical developer of bimanual case-handling technology for warehouse automation.
