About Ocean Aero
Triton is a 14-foot autonomous vessel that changes between surface sailing and submerged gliding. A retractable sail supports solar generation and communications at the surface, while the vehicle folds into a lower-signature underwater form for subsurface sensing. A roughly 35 kWh energy system and renewable charging support missions lasting more than 30 days.
Payload bays accept acoustic, optical, environmental and communications equipment for maritime-domain awareness, anti-submarine sensing and ocean survey. Two people can launch or recover the vehicle, while one operator supervises several Tritons through a common interface. Four systems were transferred to the Philippines in 2026 through a US security-assistance programme, adding persistent surface and subsurface sensing to regional maritime operations.
