About Gaoshan S1
Gaoshan S1 is a five-finger robotic hand with 22 total degrees of freedom, including 18 independently actuated axes. Direct control of the finger joints supports articulated grasping and rapid gesture execution, with a movement cycle below 0.3 seconds and up to 30 newtons of force per finger.
Integrated tactile sensing resolves contact changes down to 0.01 newtons, providing input for grip adjustment and contact-rich policy learning. Botyard supplies software and models for ROS, Gazebo, MuJoCo and NVIDIA Isaac Lab, allowing the hand to be represented consistently across simulation and physical deployment.
