About AICO 2

AICO 2 mounts two force-controlled Rizon arms on a mobile robot base, providing coordinated manipulation and movement within one research platform. Each seven-axis arm senses contact forces and can adjust its trajectory during insertion, handling and surface-interaction tasks. The base uses laser SLAM to localise, navigate between work areas and reposition the dual-arm workspace.

The 2-4 and 2-10 configurations use different Rizon payload classes for lighter dexterous work or higher-load manipulation. Developers can coordinate the arms, mobile base, cameras and end effectors through Flexiv’s software interfaces and ROS 2 support. AICO is supplied for embodied-intelligence research, mobile manipulation, data collection and development of tasks requiring force-sensitive two-arm coordination.
