About Alta X
Alta X uses a folding carbon-fibre quadcopter frame, large propulsion system and open payload mounting structure to carry cameras, lidar scanners, mapping instruments and specialist sensors. The aircraft can be transported with its arms folded and prepared for flight without removing the primary payload integration. Freefly’s flight-control system manages stabilisation, navigation and vehicle health while providing interfaces for external mission equipment.
Operators configure Alta X around the payload, batteries and endurance required for a specific mission. The platform supports Freefly and third-party gimbals, vibration isolation, power connections and data integrations for cinematography, survey, research and public-safety work. Freefly sells the aircraft as a professional UAS with accessories, spares, support and developer resources for customised deployments.
