About LRA Series

JODELL’s LRA Series integrates a controlled linear Z axis and a continuous rotary R axis within one actuator module. The linear stage provides 15–60 mm of travel across six variants, while the rotary stage turns the attached tool without requiring a separate wrist assembly. Model-specific motor current, thrust and mass let integrators select the unit around payload, stroke and available space.

The combined axes are intended for precision assembly, semiconductor packaging and testing, chip placement and compact electronics production. Position and force control support approach, soft landing and insertion tasks in which the tool must first move vertically and then rotate the component or fixture. Packaging both motions together reduces cabling, alignment work and machine footprint compared with stacking two independent actuators, while the customer supplies the end effector and higher-level machine controller.
