About

About A03

A03 is the largest member of the Feagine Edu series, combining three compliant segments into a 50 cm tendon-driven arm. Its continuously bending body provides six arm degrees of freedom plus the end effector, allowing researchers to study obstacle-aware reaching and manipulation through spaces that are difficult for conventional rigid-link arms. The system weighs 2.3 kg and carries up to 600 g, with published maximum end-effector speed of 1.17 m/s.

The platform supports graphical operation, ROS 1 and ROS 2, Python and C++, along with MuJoCo and SAPIEN simulation environments. Developers can work at joint, Cartesian or tendon level and receive position, velocity and pose feedback. Feagine launched A03 in August 2026 for advanced compliant-robotics and embodied-intelligence research.
