About OmniCore

OmniCore provides one controller architecture across five hardware sizes, allowing ABB robots and external axes to use the same motion, force, safety and application-software environment. It coordinates robot movement with cameras, conveyors, positioners, weld equipment and dispensing tools while maintaining deterministic path control at high operating speeds.

The platform integrates major industrial communications protocols, more than 1,000 software features and up to 100 safety configurations. Regenerative power functions can return braking energy to the electrical system, while cybersecurity, event traceability and optional AI or vision compute support connected production. Customers select the controller enclosure and drive capacity around the robot and process without changing the underlying software architecture.
