Teledyne FLIR Defense launched FirstLook 125, a throwable reconnaissance robot for squad-level sensing in confined and hazardous spaces.

  • Teledyne FLIR Defense unveiled FirstLook 125 on May 19, 2026, as a throwable unmanned ground system for first-look reconnaissance.
  • The 5.7-pound robot combines electro-optical and thermal cameras, illumination and two-way audio for building, subterranean and confined-space operations.
  • FirstLook 125 can survive a 16-foot drop, self-right after landing and use the same controller as the Black Hornet 4 nano-drone.
