May 22, 2024 · Demonstration · Aergility · Aerial

InDro Robotics reported that Aergility completed multiple untethered hover tests of its ATLIS uncrewed cargo aircraft.

  • Aergility completed multiple untethered hover tests of its ATLIS uncrewed cargo aircraft on May 10, 2024.
  • The test sequence included four roughly one-minute hovers, pitch and yaw checks, and out-of-ground-effect hover to about 20 feet.
  • ATLIS is a hybrid cargo VTOL aircraft designed for remote logistics with electric lift rotors and turboprop forward propulsion.

Aergility develops autonomous VTOL aircraft for contested logistics, civil cargo and intelligence missions. The Florida aerospace company uses a patented managed-autorotation architecture that combines powered vertical lift with fixed-wing cruise efficiency. Its Vista platform targets tactical ISR and smaller payloads, while the planned Hauler is designed around runway-independent heavy cargo, modular bays and field serviceability.
