BlackBerry QNX announced general availability of QNX Software Development Platform 8.0 for compute-intensive autonomous-driving, robotics and embedded-system workloads.

BlackBerry QNX develops safety-certified real-time operating systems, hypervisors and foundational software for vehicles and other embedded systems. Originating in Ottawa in 1980 and owned by BlackBerry since 2010, QNX provides microkernel-based platforms certified to demanding functional-safety standards. Automakers and suppliers use the software for digital cockpits, domain controllers, ADAS and automated-driving compute.
