JettyRobot introduces EMAT tool for in-pipe wall measurement
JettyRobot introduced an EMAT ultrasonic tool that lets its robots measure pipeline wall thickness internally without liquid couplant.
Evidence notes
- Electromagnetic acoustic transducer sensors measure pipe-wall thickness from inside the line while operators monitor readings online and retain the data for later review.
- The dry measurement method avoids couplant and reduces the need to remove external covers or insulation from buried and otherwise inaccessible pipes.
- A JettyRobot can first clean the pipe, exchange tools and then perform automated thickness measurement over long internal distances.
