Silicon Sensing and Kongsberg Discovery signed a cooperation agreement to co-develop next-generation MEMS-based gyroscope technology.

Silicon Sensing Systems designs and manufactures MEMS inertial sensors and IMUs for guidance, navigation, stabilisation and motion sensing. Based in Plymouth, the joint venture between Collins Aerospace and Sumitomo Precision Products serves industrial robots, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, space, marine and precision-agriculture applications. Its products are calibrated for reliable operation across demanding temperature and vibration environments.
