Jul 15, 2026 · Demonstration · Anduril Industries · Defense

The U.S. Air Force completed the first live-weapons firing by Anduril’s YFQ-44A collaborative combat aircraft, launching an AIM-120 against a digital target over the Mojave Desert.

  • The test marked the first live missile firing for the Air Force Collaborative Combat Aircraft programme.
  • The YFQ-44A launched an AIM-120 air-to-air missile against a digital target.
  • The firing demonstrated weapons integration in flight testing; it did not constitute an operational fielding decision.
