The Office of Naval Research awarded Pliant a contract worth up to USD 3,043,464 to develop a self-charging C-Ray vehicle for maritime missions.

Its first-party profile lists 24 granted patents and research support from ONR, DOE, NSF, USDA and NYSERDA; NATO DIANA selected the company for its 2026 programme.
