Saronic and Samsung Heavy Industries formed a strategic partnership to develop autonomy-capable maritime systems and strengthen U.S. shipbuilding capacity.

Saronic builds autonomous surface vessels and command software for U.S. and allied maritime missions. Its portfolio spans Corsair, Mirage and 180-foot Marauder, supported by shipbuilding operations in Louisiana. In July 2026 it selected Brownsville for the planned $3.2 billion Port Alpha shipyard.
