Arcturus emerges from stealth with $8 million seed round
Arcturus emerged from stealth with an $8 million seed led by Initialized Capital to scale its carbon-infused conductor materials, bringing total disclosed capital to $10 million.

Evidence notes
- Initialized Capital led the seed, with 1517, Breakthrough Energy Discovery, Toyota Ventures and Wireframe Ventures participating.
- Arcturus said the financing would expand its team, scale manufacturing and advance commercialisation across electric motors, thermal systems, data centres and grid applications.
- The company had produced centimetre-scale proof-of-concept wire and planned to scale output to tens of metres for application testing, including motor windings and bus bars.
Company context
Arcturus develops carbon-nanomaterial-infused copper and aluminium conductors designed to improve electrical, thermal and mechanical performance. The Los Angeles startup is scaling proof-of-concept wire for motor windings, bus bars, thermal systems and other power-dense applications, including drones and robotics.
