LivsMed submits STARK surgical robot for Korean approval
LivsMed submitted its STARK laparoscopic surgical robot to South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and is targeting a decision by year-end.

Evidence notes
- STARK applies LivsMed's articulating-instrument technology to modular robotic arms intended to fit existing operating rooms without major layout changes.
- Its instruments articulate by up to 90 degrees in multiple directions, extending the company from handheld laparoscopic tools into robot-assisted surgery.
- The system debuted in Korea in May and appeared at the Society of Robotic Surgery meeting in July before the approval submission.
