Segway Robotics and NVIDIA introduce Nova Orin Developer Kit
Segway Robotics and NVIDIA introduced the Nova Orin Developer Kit, an integrated compute-and-sensing platform for autonomous mobile robot development.
Why it matters
The kit packages production-oriented Segway mobility engineering with NVIDIA accelerated compute, perception sensors and Isaac software for AMR developers.
Evidence notes
- The kit combines a Jetson AGX Orin module with stereo RGBD and high-speed surround cameras to provide three-dimensional surround perception.
- NVIDIA Isaac components, sensor drivers, calibration and Isaac Perceptor packages are preinstalled for AMR development in dynamic environments.
- Segway unveiled the kit at GTC on 18 March 2024 and said orders would open in early April; the platform builds on the existing Nova Carter development robot.
