Korea: the signal is joints
Starting in Korea, ROBOTIS is already a recognised actuator company through its Dynamixel ecosystem, has its own humanoid platform in AI Sapiens K0, and is preparing their DYNAMIXEL-Q line, a QDD actuator line designed specifically for humanoid motion.
Today's MOU with LG Electronics, for LG to consider an equity investment in ROBOTIS' Uzbekistan robot-actuator plant with investment size subject to due diligence, ties LG's humanoid push to actuator production capacity rather than R&D.
LG already held 6.56% of ROBOTIS at Q1-end, so this deepens an existing position rather than opening a new one.

- Samhyun sits alongside it. On June 15, the Changwon-based motion-control company disclosed a production-prototype order for humanoid joint actuators from an unnamed global robot maker, built around a 3-in-1 architecture integrating motor, controller, and reducer in a single module. Samhyun says it is also working with multiple global robot companies on joint development and customised product lineups.
- KH Vatec added a reducer signal the same day, disclosing discussions on humanoid reducer supply with global humanoid makers and a major Korean electronics robot division. The component in question is an internally developed dual-ring-gear compound planetary reducer targeting shoulder, elbow, and wrist-type humanoid joints - an extension of the January 2026 MOU KH Vatec and Eastern Gear had already signed for high-precision robot reducer technology and commercialisation.
- Dynamic Solution added a dexterous hand signal on June 19, signing an MOU with Vibatrobotics, a KAIST campus startup whose core technology is proximity sensor-based robotic hand intelligence. Vibatrobotics claims grasp posture determination in 25 milliseconds and a 95% success rate on unstructured objects, with the proximity sensor approach designed to be less dependent on lighting and environmental conditions than vision or tactile-only systems. Under the agreement, Vibatrobotics handles R&D while Dynamic Solution brings tendon-driven technology, an ETRI-transferred tactile hand, and patents from its medical and rehabilitation robot business. Mass production discussions are reportedly underway with Rainbow Robotics and Neuromeka.
- Bonsystems a robot-components maker raised ₩14.5B, about $10.6M, via a third-party allotment to build robot-actuator production facilities and mass-production capacity for the global humanoid market. Its core angle is ultra-thin cycloid reducers / actuators.
The broader frame: Korea's Humanoid MAX Alliance now claims 224 member organisations spanning robot makers, component suppliers, universities, research institutes, and end users. ETNews reported on June 22 that Korean robot component companies are actively pushing into North American supply chains with reducers and actuators, partly because U.S. buyers are looking for non-China alternatives. ROBOTIS/LG, Samhyun, and KH Vatec make that push look more coordinated.
China: the signal is precision manufacturing scaling
Lingyi iTech, an Apple supplier, is seeking up to approximately $1.1B through a Hong Kong IPO to fund AI hardware and robotics expansion.
The capital raise is the fresh event; the manufacturing claims behind it are older but now disclosed publicly. Lingyi says it has secured leading North American robotics customers, holds partnerships with more than 20 Chinese robotics companies, and by end-November had assembled or supplied components for 5,000 humanoid robots. Its Beijing humanoid factory, which had its first robots roll off the line in April, targets 10,000 units per year in 2026, 20,000 in 2027, and 500,000 by 2030.
Changying Precision / Everwin in January through April 2026 robot component shipments exceeded 380,000 units across dexterous-hand transmission parts, rotary actuator core transmission parts, screw core transmission parts, torso large transmission parts, and skeleton structures. For context, Changying supplied roughly 689,000 humanoid robot components across all of 2025, with around 80% of shipments going overseas. Four months into 2026 at 380,000 units suggests the category is scaling, though the full-year figure will determine how significant the step-up is.
On June 23, Agibot/Zhiyuan Innovation became a shareholder in Shanghai Xinqi Robotics, a 2025-founded company focused on humanoid core execution components. It was not an isolated move: Zhiyuan has already been building an upstream web across motors, drives, sensors, tactile sensing, and listed-company manufacturing partners, with names including Qianjue Robotics, Linghou Robot, and Fuxing Motor in the component layer, and broader ecosystem ties spanning Lingyi, Wolong Electric Drive, Bozhon Precision, and others.
AgiBot had already rolled out its 10,000th general-purpose embodied robot by March 31 and is targeting 100,000 units in 2027.
As a side note, today AgiBot happens to be running a public livestream deployment at Longcheer until the 28th.

Demand-pull context: on June 16, Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, PowerChina Chengdu Institute, and Zhicheng Ruijin signed a 5,000-unit embodied-intelligence robot strategic procurement order for water conservancy, hydropower, transport engineering, and green mining applications. Not a component event, but it illustrates the order volume that is pulling Chinese hardware suppliers toward scale.
Europe: the signal is drive-system localisation
One clean event. Synapticon and Generative Bionics announced a strategic partnership on June 16 covering motors, servo drives, encoders, firmware, functional safety, motion-control software, assembly, calibration, and testing - with the explicit goal of keeping the core drive system of Generative Bionics' humanoid developed, manufactured, certified, and integrated inside Europe.
The three pillars are an EU-secured drive-system supply chain, jointly developed custom drive units, and an integrated safety architecture, with final assembly, calibration, and safety testing intended to take place inside the EEA, primarily in Germany.
Reported: Tesla / Optimus 3 Taiwan supply chain
Taiwanese reports say Tesla is pushing Optimus 3 toward mass production, with Mirle and Asia Optical named as suppliers to watch. UDN reports Mirle's Taiwan site has started supplying harmonic reducers and joint modules, and that Tesla asked it to build non-China supply capacity; Mirle is reportedly setting up a Thailand joint venture with Kedali around harmonic reducers, robot actuators, and precision parts. Asia Optical is tied to vision and lens components. This is reported Taiwan supply-chain signal, not confirmed Tesla disclosure, and should be read accordingly.
