Automata stopped treating an affordable standalone arm as the business and rebuilt around integrated laboratory infrastructure
Automata began with the Eva desktop robot arm for small, individual automation tasks across industries. The company later concluded that selling a low-cost arm without solving the surrounding workflow did not scale and narrowed its focus to integrated life-science laboratories, combining benches, orchestration software and data infrastructure in the LINQ platform. Current Automata deployments are not simply later generations of Eva; they reflect a different customer, scope and operating model.
