D-Orbit was founded around a solid-propellant device intended to remove satellites at end of life, but built its operating business around ION orbital transfer vehicles, deployment and hosted payloads. Debris mitigation remains part of the company’s identity, while revenue and flight heritage come primarily from logistics services rather than widespread adoption of the original device.
