DroneDeploy stopped being a drone maker and became a hardware-independent reality-capture platform
DroneDeploy began with its own drone ambitions but moved to software that works with third-party aircraft, ground cameras and robots. Its later acquisitions expanded the business into site documentation and autonomous data capture without reviving a DroneDeploy-branded aircraft line. The company’s robotics exposure now lies in orchestrating and processing data from other manufacturers’ hardware.
