About ESSERT Robotics

Christopher Essert founded ESSERT GmbH in May 2012. The company moved its headquarters and expanded production in Bruchsal as it shifted from project engineering toward a reusable automation architecture. SHS Capital invested in 2023, supporting a stronger focus on pharmaceutical and life-sciences manufacturing, and ESSERT opened a North American site in Raleigh in 2026.

The MicroFactory ecosystem connects standardised robotic workstations, feeding systems and process modules through plug-and-produce interfaces. Current applications include assembly, handling, testing and inspection in regulated environments, while RoboTub targets automated nest-and-tub handling in pharmaceutical production. ESSERT’s commercial position is therefore an integrated manufacturing platform: third-party robot arms may sit inside the cells, but the company owns the system architecture, controls, validation approach and lifecycle service delivered to customers.
