Fusion Processing develops automated-driving systems for buses, trucks and specialist vehicles. Its CAVstar platform combines perception, vehicle control and remote supervision, with more than two million kilometres of service reported across trials and operations.
About
Founded in Bristol in 2012, Fusion Processing is an autonomy-stack developer and vehicle integrator rather than a vehicle manufacturer. CAVstar combines sensor processing, localisation, path planning, actuation control and remote supervision in a configurable system for public transport and commercial vehicles.
The company has applied the stack to full-size buses, depot automation and public-road autonomous services, working with vehicle OEMs and operators to add redundant control and no-user-in-charge capability. The Connector programme will upgrade an existing Enviro100AEV and add a larger Enviro200AEV, moving the Cambridge bus deployment toward full SAE Level 4 operation and a repeatable commercial package.
