MagLev Aero develops the HyperDrive, a magnetically levitated electric-aircraft propulsion system built around a rim-driven rotor and fault-tolerant motor-bearing architecture. The Boston company says the platform is intended to reduce blade loading, noise and maintenance while supporting air taxis, heavy-lift drones and other aviation configurations. Its HyperDelta aircraft is a concept used to demonstrate the propulsion system rather than a production aircraft offering.
