MOBINN began as a Hyundai-affiliated startup project in late 2020 and now operates from Suwon with an additional Daegu office. The Korean company is focused on removing one of the main limits of small delivery robots: the steps, kerbs and level changes between a distribution point and the recipient’s door.
Its M3 platform climbs stairs using wheels rather than articulated legs and actively keeps the load box level during obstacle traversal. A 3D lidar supports indoor and outdoor localisation, two depth cameras provide forward and rear situational awareness, and ultrasonic sensors cover close obstacles. Remote monitoring and control form part of the operating service. MOBINN positions the system for continuous door-to-door logistics, including night and poor-weather operation, while commercial scale and customer fleet counts remain less developed publicly than the technical platform.
