Established in 2013 as Phoenix Aerial Systems and renamed in 2016, Phoenix LiDAR Systems develops complete mobile-mapping configurations from Austin. Revolution Geosystems acquired the company in 2026, retaining the Phoenix product identity while pairing its hardware and software with a wider geospatial-services organisation.
Phoenix systems integrate LiDAR scanners, GNSS/INS positioning, cameras and data logging for UAVs, vehicles, backpacks and aircraft. RANGER and miniRANGER platforms address different range and payload constraints, while SpatialExplorer, SpatialPro, FlightPlanner and LiDARMill support acquisition and processing. This makes Phoenix a perception-system supplier whose robotics relevance comes from high-accuracy mapping across autonomous and remotely operated carriers.
