Preferred Networks develops vertically integrated AI technology spanning processors, computing infrastructure, foundation models and applied systems. Its robotics work includes autonomous-control development and the Preferred Robotics subsidiary.
About
Preferred Networks develops AI technology across the stack, from the MN-Core processor family and PFCP computing service to the PLaMo foundation-model programme and industry-specific software. Founded in Tokyo in 2014, the company combines in-house compute with applied research for manufacturing, mobility, life sciences and other physical-world domains.
Robotics is a direct operating strand rather than a generic AI adjacency. Preferred Networks owns Preferred Robotics, which develops commercial mobile robots and navigation software, and ACSL selected the parent company to develop AI-enabled autonomous and distributed control for next-generation small UAVs. The profile therefore represents the group-level compute, model and autonomy layer while Preferred Robotics remains a separate finished-robot company in Korthos.
