Radar Systems develops ground-penetrating radar hardware and software for subsurface survey and nondestructive monitoring. Its lightweight Zond Aero systems can be carried by drones for terrain, ice, geology and buried-object mapping.
About
Established in Riga in 1989 as the successor to an aviation-university subsurface-radiolocation laboratory, Radar Systems has roots in geophysical and planetary sounding research. The company designs the antenna, electronics and processing software used across its Zond ground-penetrating radar family.
Zond Aero models package that sensing stack for mobile and airborne work, including integration with professional drone mission systems. Their low-weight radar units let survey teams collect georeferenced subsurface profiles across unsafe, inaccessible or repetitive routes. Radar Systems is therefore tracked as an environmental-sensing supplier; flight control and carrier aircraft are supplied separately.
