SITIA develops TREKTOR, an autonomous hybrid-electric agricultural tractor for viticulture, horticulture and vegetable production. The French engineering company also builds test benches and special robotic machinery.
About
SITIA was founded in 1986 on the École Centrale de Nantes campus and operates from Bouguenais, France. Its broader engineering business designs test benches, special machines, automation and simulation systems. Robotics is therefore a defined company-controlled operating lane rather than the entirety of SITIA’s industrial identity.
TREKTOR is the main product supporting the Korthos classification. The autonomous rechargeable tractor is designed to use existing implements across vineyards, horticulture, open-field vegetables and orchards, performing repetitive tasks such as tillage, spraying and hoeing. Navigation, perception and localization sensors support unattended operation, while an onboard generator extends working endurance. SITIA remains responsible for the platform and its integration, distinguishing the company from a research-only agricultural project.
