TetraGen Robotics builds autonomous welding systems that use AI and proprietary 3D vision to generate robot programmes and adapt to production variation. The systems target high-mix manufacturing where conventional automation requires frequent reprogramming.
About
TetraGen Robotics was founded in Winnipeg in 2022 to automate welding in high-mix and variable production. Its system scans workpieces with proprietary 3D vision, generates welding paths and adjusts to part variation without conventional manual robot programming. Target industries include heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, trailers, mining equipment, defense manufacturing and structural steel.
The company integrates its autonomy software and sensing with industrial robot cells and supports deployments after installation. The seed financing is intended to commercialise the platform, place more systems with North American manufacturers and expand engineering and commercial teams.
