Trexo Robotics was founded in 2016 by Manmeet Maggu and Rahul Udasi after Maggu’s nephew was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The founders combined robotics training from the University of Waterloo with clinical and family input to build a paediatric system that could support frequent, repeatable walking rather than limiting gait therapy to occasional clinic sessions.
