Trombia Technologies develops electric autonomous sweepers and high-power sweeping attachments for industrial yards, ports, airports and municipal environments. Trombia Free combines all-weather autonomy with automated servicing.
About
Trombia Technologies traces its operating history to Snowek, founded in Kuopio in 2011. The Finnish company developed patented sweeping technology before launching the autonomous Trombia Free concept in 2020. FAUN Group later acquired a majority stake, giving the business access to a wider municipal-equipment manufacturing and sales network while Trombia’s management and engineering team continued to operate the brand.
Trombia Free is a purpose-built electric sweeper for closed industrial districts and controlled municipal environments. Its system combines 3D lidar, GNSS, odometry and proprietary sensor fusion with a docking station, remote monitoring and service software. The platform is designed for all-weather operation and high-power debris removal in recycling yards, ports, airports, sawmills and parking facilities. Trombia also sells conventional sweeper attachments, but autonomous area cleaning is the central robotics layer tracked here.
