About Universal Robots
Universal Robots develops collaborative robot arms and the software, training and partner ecosystem used to deploy them. Its current catalogue spans the e-Series and higher-performance UR Series, with models for bench assembly, machine tending, welding, inspection, packaging, palletising and heavier material handling. PolyScope supplies the programming environment, while UR+ connects approved end effectors, software and application kits.
The company operates as part of Teradyne Robotics and reached 100,000 cobots sold in 2025. Its newer platform work extends beyond arm hardware: PolyScope X supports application development and deployment, and the AI Accelerator combines an NVIDIA Jetson module, robot interfaces and ROS 2 support for AI-enabled applications. Universal Robots sells through integrators and distributors and supports users through UR Academy and a global service network.
