ZenRobotics builds AI-powered waste-sorting robots for recycling facilities. The Terex brand combines heavy and fast robotic pickers with vision software that identifies recoverable material across construction, demolition and mixed waste.
About
ZenRobotics was founded in Helsinki in 2007 and introduced one of the earliest commercial applications of AI-guided robots in waste sorting. Terex Materials Processing acquired its assets in 2022 and retained ZenRobotics as an operating brand. The current profile therefore covers the continuing Terex-owned product business rather than presenting the former independent company as a separate owner.
The portfolio includes Heavy Picker for bulky construction and demolition waste, Fast Picker for lighter conveyor streams, and the ZenBrAIn and ZenVision intelligence layers used to identify and select materials. Installations operate in more than 15 countries and can be trained for hundreds of waste categories. The systems are sold as industrial recycling automation, combining perception, robotic picking and facility integration to raise recovery rates and reduce manual sorting exposure.
