About U950 Eurodrone

Airbus U950 Eurodrone is a twin-engine long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft being developed for Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The programme covers 20 systems, each comprising three air vehicles and two ground stations. Its certification baseline targets operation in non-segregated airspace, while separate flight and mission chains are intended to let operators update mission equipment without reopening the complete flight certification.

The aircraft is designed for up to 40 hours of endurance and a maximum mission payload of 2.3 tonnes excluding fuel. Underwing stations and internal mission-system flexibility support intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance, attack, maritime surveillance, anti-submarine warfare, airborne early warning and command-and-control roles. The ITAR-free design and line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight data links are intended to preserve operator control over mission data.
