ATLAS CCV is BAE Systems Australia’s autonomous combat-capable vehicle concept. The approximately 10-tonne 8x8 platform combines protected wheeled mobility with path planning, obstacle avoidance and autonomous tactical decision support, allowing crews to supervise the vehicle while remaining away from immediate hazards.
The vehicle provides a common carrier for reconnaissance equipment and other mission payloads. Its demonstrated configuration includes BAE Systems’ VANTAGE automated turret with a 25-millimetre weapon, while the underlying platform can support alternative payload arrangements. ATLAS remains at demonstrated maturity: it has progressed beyond a static concept, but it is not represented as a fielded production fleet.
