Cavorite X7 is Horizon Aircraft's seven-seat hybrid-electric vertical-lift aircraft. Twelve wing-integrated lift fans support vertical flight, while closed fan covers and a conventional propeller support efficient wing-borne cruise and runway operation; published performance remains modeled on a large-scale prototype.
About
Cavorite X7 is Horizon Aircraft's seven-seat hybrid-electric vertical-lift aircraft for regional passenger, cargo, medical and emergency missions. Twelve electrically driven fans inside the wings and canards provide vertical lift; their covers close for wing-borne cruise powered by a conventional propeller.
The design also supports runway take-off and landing, allowing operators to trade vertical access for additional payload. Horizon projects a 450-kilometre-per-hour maximum cruise speed, 800-kilometre range with reserves and a 680-kilogram VTOL payload. These figures are engineering estimates, and the aircraft remains in development following flight work with a large-scale prototype.
