Kingfisher M200 is Clearpath Robotics' legacy remote survey USV for hydrographic and environmental data collection. Its compact semi-planing hulls, electric jet propulsion and modular sensor mounting supported work in rivers, harbours and reservoirs.
About
Kingfisher M200 was developed as a compact remotely operated survey vessel for measurements that would otherwise expose crews to difficult water conditions. Electric jet thrusters and semi-planing hulls were intended to improve manoeuvrability and speed in flowing water without relying on exposed propellers.
The modular payload area could carry ADCP instruments, single-beam, multibeam or side-scan sonar, LiDAR and centimetre-class GPS configurations. Clearpath positioned the system for bathymetry, erosion monitoring, sediment mapping, flow measurement, dam inspection and harbour safety. The 2012 M200 is now a legacy product, distinct from Clearpath's current ground-robot portfolio.
