TurtleBot 4 Lite is Clearpath Robotics' lower-profile ROS 2 learning and research robot. It retains the Create 3 base, Raspberry Pi 4B, RPLIDAR A1M8 and OAK-D-Lite camera while omitting the Standard model's sensor tower, display and expansion plate.
About
TurtleBot 4 Lite is the lower-profile, barebones model in Clearpath Robotics' ROS 2 learning-robot family. It uses the same iRobot Create 3 base, Raspberry Pi 4B and RPLIDAR A1M8 as the Standard model, but pairs them with an OAK-D-Lite camera. At 192 mm high, it omits the Standard model's sensor tower, OLED display, Bluetooth controller and dedicated mounting plate.
The Lite model still supports mapping, autonomous navigation, camera-based AI work and automatic docking through the shared open-source TurtleBot software. Sensors and accessories can be attached to the Create 3 faceplate or placed in its cargo bay, making the model suitable for classroom exercises and compact research prototypes where the Standard model's exposed power, USB and interface hardware are unnecessary.
