About CyberOne
CyberOne is a 177 cm, 52 kg humanoid prototype with 21 degrees of freedom and peak joint torque stated at up to 300 Nm. Xiaomi developed mechanical joint motors and whole-body control for bipedal balance and movement, while Mi-Sense depth vision reconstructs nearby three-dimensional space with stated one-percent depth accuracy within eight metres.
The robot also combines audio and visual processing for recognising 85 environmental semantic categories and 45 human-emotion categories. CyberOne was unveiled in August 2022 as a research demonstration within Xiaomi’s robotics laboratory. Its role was to validate full-size humanoid hardware, perception and interaction technologies that could feed into the group’s wider AIoT, manufacturing and robotics research.
