About Elbit HOUND

HOUND is Elbit Systems' configurable unmanned ground security system built around a standard wheeled patrol vehicle. It supports autonomous, semi-autonomous, teleoperated and Follow-Me control for border patrol, observation and surveillance. One to three remote operators can control a configuration combining electro-optical observation, communications, situational-awareness equipment and optional remote weapon stations.

Elbit describes HOUND as an in-service system with extensive Israel Defense Forces use and thousands of recorded security-mission hours. Customers select the vehicle, operator-control unit, communications and payload package for the intended mission. Obstacle avoidance and an IDF-certified wireless braking unit support unmanned operation, while weapon options include 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm remote-controlled stations.
